Two voices.
One thread.
We have worked together since 2016, beginning with bilingual storytelling for children in the Czech-German border region. Our languages do not simply repeat one another: they carry the story forward together.
Gestures, emotion, rhythm and imagination help meaning travel between us and our audience. Children discover that they do not need to understand every word to follow an adventure.
Today, ARCHA and Honza continue that work for young audiences. Subjekt: Milena opens a new chapter for adults, exploring humanity, identity and personal responsibility through the life and writing of Milena Jesenská.
made real on stage.
Language as encounter
Czech and German become ways of listening, imagining and discovering another point of view.
Stories close to the audience
Two performers, direct contact and a shared space for imagination. The audience helps bring the story to life.
Across generations
From a child’s first fairy-tale journey to an adult conversation about choices, differences and responsibility.
A partnership
in motion.
The collaboration begins
Czech-German storytelling in kindergartens and the border region, documented in the LaNa interview.
Stories travel
Our repertoire reaches schools, theatre spaces and festivals on both sides of the border.
A new chapter for adults
Subjekt: Milena premieres in Dresden on 30 October.
